On Thursday, July 16th, NASA released digitally restored footage of the Apollo 11 moonwalk. This record, restored by the same folks who restored Casablanca, provides a clearer-than-before look at the world’s most historic outer space mission. Unfortunately, the fabulous lost moon tapes with the highest quality recording of the mission, look to have been lost forever.
